Petersen, Helge Sandøy, Edit Bugge Verkætlanarskeið: 01.07.2016-31.06.2018 Samlaður kostnaður: 1.391.795 Stuðul úr Granskingargrunninum: 887.795 Verkætlanarlýsing: Original Hovudmålet for dette prosjektet er å utvikle innsikt i moderne færøyske dialektendringsprosessar og forholdet mellom samfunnsendring og språkendring. Prosjektet studerer endringar i språk og samfunn gjennom djupstudiar i sju språksamfunn. Tidsramma for datagrunnlaget er 1955–2015. Delmåla for prosjektet er: 1) å samle, digitalisere og transkribere opptak frå eldre dialektstudiar på Færøyane. 2) å samle inn nytt materiale frå sju lokalsamfunn, som vi òg har eldre opptak frå. Dette nye materialet er tredelt, med tre typar gjensidig uavhengige språklege datasett til bruk for analysen av sju færøyske språksamfunn: a) språkbruksdata - innsamla ved lydopptak, b) folkelingvistiske førestillingar om språk og dialektar - innsamla ved hjelp av intervju (kombinert med a) og c) holdningar til språk – underbevisste holdningar innsamla ved hjelp av masketestar, bevisste med spørjeskjema. Dei nye lydopptaka skal også digitaliserast og transkriberast. 3) å lage analysar av språkendringar i verkeleg tid med tanke på endringsgrad, endringstypar, endringsretning og sosiale og samfunnsmessige vilkår for endringane. Hovudfinansieringa til prosjektet vil kome frå andre kjelder, og vi søkjer her berre om midlar til dei fyrste prosjektfasane: 1) innsamling og digitalisering av eldre talemålsmateriale frå Færøyane, 2) innsamling av nytt talemålsmateriale og nytt materiale som kan gje innsikt i holdningar til og førestillingar om språk i sju færøyske lokalsamfunn. Final Changes in Faroese dialects through two generations – how, how rapid and why? The main purpose of this project is to develop insight into modern Faroese dialectal changing processes and language change. The project investigates changes in language and society on seven different places. Totally we have over hundred new taped interviews with informants in three age groups on every place (young, middle aged, old). The field work began in 2015, and the transcriptions were finished in december 2018. Now we have 69 interviews with corresponding transcriptions in the database for Faroese spoken language with a total of 103 informants. Around 30 minutes of each interview are transcribed. Additional purposes of this project are: • collecting data about unsconscious attitudes to language variation, using matched guise technique, conscious attitudes with questionnaries and interviews • analyse the collected material on attitudes in the framework of international discussion on language attitudes • analyse language change in real time. Storage and access rights til collected data The collected material is preserved safely as a digital corpus in FTB. The research leader is responsible for the access to FTB. There are two types of access right: 1) reading access and 2) annotation access. The former access means that users may get access to do part corpus and read and listen as well. However, this user can not do anything with the material in the corpus. The annotation access gives the user permission to annotate in the material with codes, which can be used I statitical analysis. In both cases the users have to sign a document to certify that they will keep the ethical rules, for instance: ● every person named in the corpus shall be anonymous ● soundrecordings must not be used in the mass media without permission from the informants ● it is prohibited to leave the material to a third person ● it is prohibited to leave username and password to FTB to other persons ● the user permission to FTB is only valid until the project is completed. << Back |
